My router only lists a few providers

Many routers, including some sold by internet providers, only let you choose from a fixed list of providers, with nowhere to type a server. HonkIP can't be added to that list from the outside.

That's fine. Any other device at home that's usually switched on can keep your name up to date instead:

• A NAS: Synology or QNAP
• A PC that's usually on: Windows, Mac or Linux
• A Raspberry Pi or home server: Linux or Docker

Check the bottom of the router's list first, though: some include an option called Custom. If yours does, use Set up any router.
